In 2023, the world reached a tragic milestone. The number of men, women and children who have been forced to leave their homes passed 120 million. In our 2024 annual report, you can read how together we have made a tangible difference for the world's refugees in 2023.

DRC helped millions of people in 2024

Behind a number as incomprehensible and faceless more than 120 million fates - real people displaced by war, violence or persecution.

The ever-increasing number of refugees and the global community's lack of commitment to durable solutions underlines the importance of the humanitarian work our 6,000 employees do. Every day, all year round, they provide emergency relief and durable solutions for refugees and displaced people in more than 32 countries.

Across our operations, we reached millions of people with essential humanitarian assistance in 2024. We work every day to reach even more.

You can read more about DRC's efforts for the world's refugees and displaced people in 2024 on this page. If you want to read the full annual report, you can find it here.

Our staff work hard to provide assistance to refugees and displaced people - often in extremely difficult circumstances. The increasing number of refugees in the world shows that our work continues to be imperative.
